Our journey into the world of wine began when Jenn and I were studying for my WSET III exam. What started as a quest for wine knowledge transformed into an adventure that changed our approach to both wine and travel. I soon realized that simply studying wine wasn’t enough; I needed a way to apply what I was learning. We aimed to create a company where wine and fun come together! The concept behind Distinguished Taste was to create a learning environment where our audience feels comfortable asking any questions about wine. The first class we hosted was filled with curiosity and laughter, confirming that conversations about wine should be as welcoming as a friendly chat. We even joked that our "serious" wine photo shoot needed a touch of whimsy, so we donned fake mustaches and laughed our way through it. As our passion for wine and wine travel grew, we cultivated friendships with expert tour hosts across Europe and expanded our network by collaborating with four tour operators in five countries. We began receiving requests to take people on our wine explorations, and it struck us—what better way to introduce people to the world of wine than to bring them along with us?
